Greenfun
Greenfun is a mobile application designed to support plant care and environmental awareness. Users identify plants around them with a smartphone and adopt digital versions in a personal garden. Augmented reality shows how the plants change through the four seasons, while location technology helps find adoptable plants nearby. Friends can be invited to join nature activities, and gardens can be visited to exchange plants. Credits earned through these actions give discounts on the purchase of real plants.
Greenfun Mobile App by Xingcheng Zhu was identified as an outstanding example of communication design by the A' Design Award. Greenfun Mobile App received the Iron A' Design Award in Mobile Technologies, Applications and Software Design in 2024. The A' Mobile Technologies, Applications and Software Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design competition that recognizes exceptional design of smartphones, tablets, wearables, mobile applications, mobile games, mobile software, mobile platforms, mobile interfaces and more.
